I am honored to co-chair this year's Art Bash at Sarasota Art Museum on Saturday, December 12th, with my dear friends Paige Petersen and Audrey Robbins.
This year's theme, Black & White, takes its cue from Truman Capote's legendary 1966 Black and White Ball and from the museum's winter exhibition, Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder, on view through April 4, 2027. Expect an evening that channels 1960s New York: monochrome photography, high style and a masked ball's sense of occasion.
The evening begins at 6 pm with cocktails, canapés and entertainment in the galleries. At 7:30, golf carts carry guests along the Legacy Trail to The Circus Arts Conservatory for a seated dinner and paddle raise, followed by dessert, music and dancing at 9 pm. Every dollar raised supports the museum's exhibitions and its education programs for students and the wider community.
Sarasota Art Museum is close to our hearts. Housed in the beautifully adapted historic Sarasota High School and part of Ringling College of Art and Design, it is the city's only museum devoted to modern and contemporary art.
