Summer Season

With the longest days of summer upon us, it’s time to enjoy Sarasota’s outdoor appeal and indoor indulgences. The heat and humidity are undeniable, but that’s all the more reason to head to one of our white sand beaches for seaside relaxation. Sarasota’s many miles of shoreline offer distinct variety, from the discreet stretches nestled in Longboat Key’s plush setting to the more buzzy vibe of Lido Beach.

If you prefer to be in the water, paddleboarding is a perfect option for exercise and exploration, offering an up-close perspective on the coast and wildlife. Of course, boating is the ultimate summertime outing. Though the spectator fun of the speedboat Grand Prix was canceled by the coronavirus, there are endless options for you to get on the water. Nothing can rival the enjoyment of watching the sunset from Sarasota Bay.

When you are ready to retire from the hot sun, head to St. Armands for shopping or indulge in any number of our culinary hot spots. In fact, with fewer tourists during summertime, you’ll find a little bit more room to relax at your favorite spot. From fine dining to waterside drinks, Sarasota has a noteworthy dining scene.

Whether you are local or visiting, enjoy the extra minutes of long summer days to take in all of Sarasota’s beauty and culture. Need a personal recommendation or insider’s guide to Sarasota’s neighborhoods? Give us a call.
