Now through the end of this weekend, August 7th, Florida residents can take advantage of the annual Back2School Tax Holiday.
The statewide reprieve on taxes for school supplies is expected to save Florida families more than $100 million this year, especially as students and parents anticipate a full return to in-person learning. The tax holiday covers classroom items like pens, paper, and notebooks, as well as personal computers and some devices and clothing and footwear. Click here to find additional details.
In addition to the sales tax holiday on approved items, some retailers offer discounts that mirror that tax abatement in order to entice consumer spending. The next few days may be a great time to look for deals on items that you'll use throughout the year... whether or not you're hitting the books!
