This week I was honored to join Key Chorale at The ORA for its Perfect Pitch Luncheon, honoring Virginia Shearer and the growth of the Sarasota Art Museum under her leadership. What stays with me is where the support goes: music education for Key Chorale’s student scholars, and choirs for seniors living with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. It was a pleasure to be in the room, and to hear the Section Leader Ensemble and Student Scholars make the case better than any speech could. Thank you to Audrey Robbins for inviting me as her guest and for her support of this wonderful organization.
